We are delighted to welcome two new Archaeological Analysts to the DAACS team. Emma joins us from the University of Georgia, where she earned her BA in Anthropology and Classics and spent three years as a Laboratory Technician at UGA’s Laboratory of Archaeology developing expertise in artifact cataloging, becoming familiar with different database structures, and preservation of legacy collections. Chiara comes to us from the University of Massachusetts Boston’s Historical Archaeology MA program, bringing experience in digital archaeology, legacy collection integration, and spatial analysis, with previous work on 17th and 19th century sites of enslavement in New England and Tennessee. We are thrilled to have them both on board and look forward to the perspectives and skills they bring to the team and to our ongoing colonoware analysis project funded by the National Science Foundation.
